A glove hat, a hot bat and that's that

Given that our batters came through to end last week, it seems only logical we remain in that market to begin a fresh one. We've got us a trio of hitters that look to be in a solid spot this Monday. As always, it may be best to wait for lineup confirmations before placing a bet in MLB.

Three hitters to keep an eye on today

Luis Arraez (Miami)

Arraez has been having quite the season down in Miami, hitting .388 up to this point. He's recorded a hit in 23 of his last 30 games, averaging 1.5 per game this year.

He seems like a solid choice for a base knock today. He's facing off against Jose Berrios, a pitcher he's hitting .300 against in 11 plate appearances. Arraez has a .371 average vs. RHP this season, and he's hitting .413 in 33 home games.

Matt McLain (Cincinnati)

McLain is rolling. He's logged a hit in 26 of 31 games this year, averaging 1.4 per game. Austin Gomber is on the rubber for the Rockies, and his 1.70 WHIP and 7.29 ERA is an incredibly inviting targets for plenty of Reds bats tonight. McLain has rocked lefties on the season, hitting .371 against them, which makes tonight's matchup all the better.

Brandon Crawford (San Francisco)

Crawford is on a tear of late, piling up nine hits in his past six games. There's reason to expect another solid outing against Michael Wacha. Crawford has seen Wacha 12 times, and he's hitting .583 against the Padres righty.

Crawford has hit right-handed pitching far better this season, and he has a hit in three straight games against San Diego.

Together, this trio to all record a hit comes in at a solid +189 on FanDuel, but by all means, run with the trends that resonate with you most!

In the news ...

Blockbuster in the NBA: Bradley Beal traded to Phoenix Suns — It was expected that Bradley Beal would be traded somewhere soon, but not too many were discussing the Phoenix Suns as a potential landing spot. Well, that's where Beal went, for a shockingly small return, forming a new Big Three out West. Phoenix now has Beal, Kevin Durant and Devin Booker altogether for a championship run in 2024, and you'd be hard-pressed to find a better trio in the NBA today. The Suns are currently +650 to win the NBA Championship next season, behind Denver and Boston. Chris Paul was sent to Washington as part of the trade.

Wyndham Clark wins U.S. Open — Prior to Thursday, Clark was +10000 to bring home the U.S. Open win, and he did with a -10 final score, beating Rory McIlroy by a stroke. Along the way, Clark set a pair of records for a first-time major winner. He won the Wells Fargo a month ago, and his earnings of $7.2M are the most for a player's first two wins ever. His previous best finish at a major was T-75th, marking the largest gap between a win and a golfer's previous best in PGA Tour history.

USMNT wins CONCACAF Nations League final — The U.S. Men's National Team won their second-straight CONCACAF Nations League title, taking down Canada 2-0 in Sunday's final. This is big news for the United States soccer program, but the more important development was the performances of Folarin Balogun and Gio Reyna, two players who figure to be crucial pieces in the next World Cup. The USMNT is currently the 13th-ranked team in FIFA.
