Kevin Durant shocked by Suns' comeback win over the Kings

On Tuesday, the Phoenix Suns found themselves trailing the Sacramento Kings by 22 points. Somehow, they managed to rally back and secure a 119-117 win. Following the game, Kevin Durant admitted the comeback felt like a blur, and he isn't sure how his team was able to turn things around so quickly.

"I have no clue," Durant said. "I usually know how the game is flowing, but this was a blur. I feel like I looked up, and we were down six, I looked up again, and it was a tie game. Everything happened so fast. I guess we were all in the zone and locked in...It's incredible, man."

This is the type of win the Suns have been waiting for. Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal were all available. The team's ability to take over a game on the offensive end enabled them to secure a hard-fought win over a legitimate playoff contender in the Western Conference. That's a huge sign that they're moving in the right direction.

Phoenix has struggled throughout the first half of the season. Beal's long absence through injury limited the Suns' ability to be competitive. Their roster is designed to thrive when all three stars are on the court. They lack the high-level depth to be competitive when shorthanded.

Both Beal and Booker are talented playmakers. They take turns in initiating the offense. Durant is the primary scorer and often spearheads the Suns' attacks. Still, beating the Kings in such dramatic fashion is proof of concept for Phoenix's front office. It can rest assured that things are starting to click with their All-Star trio and that big deficits are erasable when all three stars are on the floor.

There is still a long way to go until the Suns prove they're capable of winning a championship. However, when you shock one of the greatest players of his generation, it means you're heading in the right direction. Now, the Suns need to continue ramping up as they look to prove the hyper surrounding their roster last summer was justified.
